Customs duties

Customs Duties and Import Taxes

Responsibility
- Orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes (including VAT), brokerage, and handling fees imposed by your country.
- These charges are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in our product prices or shipping fees.

EU vs. non‑EU
- Within the EU: Shipments between EU countries generally do not incur customs duties. Local VAT rules may still apply.
- Outside the EU or cross‑border imports: Duties/taxes may apply. Rates vary by country, product type (HS code), and order value.

DDU / DAP (Delivered Duty Unpaid)
- Unless explicitly stated otherwise on the product page, orders are shipped DDU/DAP. The carrier or customs may contact you to pay duties/taxes before delivery.
- Failure to pay will result in non‑delivery and return or abandonment by the carrier.

Estimates and thresholds
- We cannot provide exact duty/tax estimates because rates and exemptions vary by country and change over time.
- For guidance, contact your local customs office with the product description and HS code if available.

Delays caused by customs
- Customs clearance is required for cross‑border shipments and can sometimes cause delays (e.g., inspections, peak seasons).
- Our delivery estimates exclude customs clearance time.

Refusal, non‑collection, or return due to unpaid duties
- If a parcel is refused or not collected due to outstanding duties/taxes, or returned/abandoned because duties/taxes were not paid, the order is not eligible for a refund of products or shipping.
- If the parcel is routed back to a facility we do not control (e.g., a supplier/forwarder) and we do not receive it, we cannot issue a refund.

Evidence and support
- If customs requires additional documentation (e.g., proof of purchase, product description), email us and we will try to assist.
- For defective or wrong‑item claims held at customs, we may require photos/video or carrier documentation before resolving your case.
